iGreenfields: A New Bloghelp For New DJs For New DA For New PH Agriculture

I am calling it now The iGreenfields Project.

To start in earnest, I have created this blog where articles of the would-be digital journalists, DJs, for the new PH Agriculture would be published. I will mentor them essentially online. Later, I will help them create their own blogs, and we can ask the financial help of the Department of Agriculture, DA, under Secretary of Agriculture William Dar/Manong Willie.

This new writer's project I call iGreenfields, the i because it based on the Internet and Greenfields because it calls for luxurious growth of multiple crops all over the farmers' fields in the villages – to maximize production.

Masaganang Ani at Malaki ang Kita – Bountiful Harvests and Big Earnings – that is the current slogan of the DA, under Manong Willie. Higher yields and higher incomes. You can insure the higher yields by planting varieties with improved yields, but how do you insure higher incomes? Good question!

Both the writing language and the new DJs for the DA, I call Greenfielders. As their Author's Editor, I will help them write, edit their writings, and upload them in this new blog iGreenfields. Eventually, we hope to get some funding from the DA via Manong Willie, but first we have to show what we can do in terms of our new journalism, and how good we are, and how persistent.

And where will our subject areas or topics be coming from? From what Manong Willie terms "The Eight Paradigms" for the "New Thinking for Agriculture" that he espouses; in short:

(1)  Modernization of agriculture;
(2)  Industrialization of agriculture;
(3)  Promotion of exports;
(4)  Farm consolidation;
(5)  Infrastructure development;
(6)  Higher budget and investments for agriculture;
(7)  Legislative support;
(8)  Roadmap development.

Heavy! Right? Exactly why everybody needs some help in writing for PH Agriculture to get from summa cum maude to summa cum laude. Ilocano joke, maude means last, dead last.

Remember, your ultimate reader is the farmer! If you use English his high school daughter does notcomprehend, you have lost him already. To help level up PH Agriculture, you have to level down your writing!

You do not know yet how to proceed writing about or from those 8 paradigms – you probably do not even know what is meant by the word paradigm! Hindi ka nag-iisa. You are not alone. As your always-ready Author's Editor, I will help you right from the beginning, including if necessary choosing the topic you want to write about.

Remember, we are all doing this for the New, Improved PH Agriculture!

The language we are going to use in iGreenfields is not what you can see in those aggie magazines you see lying around. And no, the style of writing will be quite different – it will come from you, the writer, very personal, in English language that is popular, not semi-technical, high-school level, not college or scientist level.

If you can find a group of about 10 in your place, I will visit you and start to teach you. Email first: frankahilario@gmail.com@517
this was earlier; i now call the whole thing Kitani Journalism, born 08 December 2019, or the day after this was published.
